BBA Degree versus BSBA Degree

The difference has to do with the way colleges define the basic academic requirements of each program.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

A Bachelor of Business Administration is a professional degree that requires about 1/4 of the coursework be completed in the liberal arts. The remaining courses are business administration courses. A BBA is highly specialized, and less broad in related areas of study.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA)

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree requires about half of the coursework be completed in the liberal arts, and the remainder be completed in an applied science (business is an applied science). The BSBA has fewer elective courses, and an emphasis on math and science courses.
