Heather Knickerbocker, LCSW, Director of Disability Services

Heather earned a B.A. in Sociology-Anthropology/Social Work from East Stroudsburg University, and a Masters degree in Social Work from Marywood University in Scranton, PA.  Before joining the DSO staff, Heather worked in agencies specializing in individual and family counseling, Autism Spectrum Disorders, hospice care, and child protective services.  She also previously worked in an adolescent school based partial hospitalization program.  Heather, a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and is actively involved in NJ AHEAD, previously serving as Secretary.  She also serves on the BSW advisory board at Centenary.

Mary Ann Raimond, MS, MA, Disability Accommodations Coordinator

Mary Ann comes to us with a background in education, having taught both public school and college for many years, including special education and gifted and talented. She has Masters degrees in both Education and English Literature.  In addition to her role as a Learning Support Specialist, she is the advisor for Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society for Students with Disabilities and handles the recruiting, hiring and training of the peer note-takers.  Mary Ann also regularly meets with both full-time and adjunct faculty members to guide them in providing materials and strategies to best serve our students’ varied learning styles.

Marcella Griffith, M.Ed, Learning Support Specialist

Marcella Griffith holds a B.S. in Psychology and a M.Ed. in Student Affairs and College Counseling from Kutztown University.  Before joining the DSO staff in the fall 2013, Marcella worked at Northampton Community College as a Disability Services Specialist and Academic Advisor.  Marcella has worked for a social service agency as a therapeutic support staff member and applied behavioral modification techniques to children with autism.  She has an extensive background in study skills and was a professional tutor at East Stroudsburg University.  During her free time, Marcella enjoys playing the flute.

Jessica Jackson, MSW, LCSW, Learning Support Specialist

Jessica is a resident of Sussex County New Jersey.  Originally from the Pocono Mountains, she earned her undergraduate degree at East Stroudsburg University in Psychology with a Minor in Women's Studies.  After gaining some experience working in behavioral and mental health, Jessica attended Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania and earned a Masters in Social Work.  Working with teens and adolescents with mental health and cognitive challenges in residential and community settings inspired Jessica to work towards a clinical licensure in social work as well, which she earned in Fall 2014.

Maureen Fallon, MSP, CCC, Learning Support Specialist

Maureen joined the DSO staff in the fall of 2009 after several successful years serving as a professional tutor for both DSO and the Academic Success Center. She possesses a Master of Speech Language Pathology degree from the University of South Carolina and is a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the state of New Jersey. Prior to coming to Centenary College, she worked in private practice and rehabilitation medical settings. Her role as a Learning Support Specialist has allowed her to utilize her background and expertise in new ways to assist students in achieving success in higher education.
