The HUB

The HUB is a place where students may come, for individual and small group instruction in how best to meet the requirements of any work they do, be it writing, math, or technology.

The HUB is located at the back of the Seay Building, lower level across the hall from Tilly's. The HUB is a place where students may come, either voluntarily or on referral, for individual and small group instruction in how best to meet the requirements of any writing they do.

The goal of our staff is to aid students in meeting their personal academic goals by helping them master the tools of their respective academic trade. Students consult, individually, with a peer tutor, meeting with them once or as often as it takes to achieve their immediate and long-range goals.

Originally called the Writing Center, The HUB has grown from a staff of 10 tutors in 2001 working in a small basement office, to a staff of nearly 40 tutors in 2005 working in one of the largest and most visible rooms on the entire Centenary campus. We proudly spread our wings to offer services in multiple academic disciplines and boast a staff of tutors who are experienced and qualified to tutor in various fields. Above all, our staff offers confidential, friendly service that aims to improve the whole student and not just the particular task that they are working on.
