A Leader in Wireless Campuses

In 2005, Centenary College was voted by Intel one of the country's Top Wireless Campuses. In Intel's Second Annual "50 Most Unwired College Campuses" survey, Centenary College ranked 31 in a field that included Dartmouth College, Carnegie Mellon University, The College of William and Mary, and American University.

Wireless campus networks have changed the way students learn and the resources faculty use to teach them. The survey also revealed students are more likely to enjoy the benefits a campus offers while adding a dynamic new dimension to their education.

The result is a more intimate, productive and convenient style of learning. Our faculty members believe the use of wireless technology, threaded discussions, and chat rooms help our students to succeed.

Centenary College's wireless network is available in all libraries, classrooms, administrative/faculty offices, work areas, all college-owned, operated, or affiliated housing, and on all school property.

E2Campus - Emergency Notification System

The e2campus is a mass notification system that enables a non-technical administrator to communicate time-sensitive information to the entire community at once. Every member of our campus community is encouraged to register with this service, and no advertising content is delivered.

The system is capable of delivering instant communication in a variety of ways including cell phones, PDAs, or Blackberry handheld devices. If an emergency ever occurs every student, staff or faculty who has registered will immediately receive a text message advising them of any actions that they should take.
