The ability to think analytically and to creatively solve problems opens doors to a multitude of career options.  At Centenary College, our professors use creative teaching methods to develop critical, logical and analytical reasoning skills, while providing students with a solid foundation in both mathematical theory and application.  Students from our program graduate with a rich liberal arts education and a valuable degree in mathematics that is attractive to a number of prospective employers in business, education, statistical research, economics and more.

Mathematics and Accounting double majors are eligible for the Christopher Willis Scholarship awarded annually to outstanding accounting students.

Mathematics Degree with a Teacher Certification

Many mathematics majors also choose to pursue Teacher Certification in our Department of Education. The demand for excellent math teachers is growing. We prepare our students with a strong foundation in math which enables them to become exceptional certified teachers in either Elementary or Secondary Education with a specialization in Mathematics.

Students interested in pursuing Teacher Certification must have a 2.75 GPA or higher and apply to the Department of Education after their sophomore year.
