Position Information

Title  Program Assistant
Description  • Provide day- to- day updates for social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIN;
• Update and maintain the New York Mortgage Coalitions website;
• Upstart and expand the New York Mortgage Coalition’s blog;
• Coordinate and communicate blog entries with other housing counseling agencies;
• Communicate with other housing counseling agencies regarding day-to-day administrative queries;
• Answer and direct telephone calls to appropriate department;
• Conduct research and complete other projects as needed;
• Track, monitor and follow-up on progress of projects and action items for the Executive Director and Program Manager in a
tactful and timely manner;
• Any other related task as assigned.
• Knowledge of NYC housing counseling preferred
• At least one year of work experience.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Must possess advanced computer skills including advanced knowledge of social media platforms.
• Advanced computer skills including: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• GIS Mapping skills preferred
• Must have the ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects;
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Must be organized and detail oriented;

In addition, the New York Mortgage Coalition provides foreclosure prevention counseling, credit repair workshops, post-purchase
homeownership programs and home maintenace and improvement classes.
