The Vershire Riding School Program:
The Vershire Riding School is a Combined Training center for 40 students. We teach from the beginner through Novice level of
Eventing. Each camper is assigned their own horse, and box stall. This program is strictly a riding program involving 4 hours of
mounted lessons daily and theory classes twice weekly.

The Facilities:
There is an indoor arena (72’ x150’), 5 dressage arenas, a show arena, 2 stadium fields, cross-country courses, & miles of trails.
Horses live in box stalls, and we have turn out. We have a tennis court, swimming facilities, arts & crafts building, pottery
room, outdoor recreational fields, etc. We are located on over 400 acres of beautiful Vermont countryside.

Qualifications:
All riding instructors must have an interview. Applicants with prior experience in Combined Training, Hunter/Jumper, and/or prior
experience in teaching are preferred. Applicants must like working with children. Job includes teaching lessons, supervising
stable management of students and being a dorm parent. We are looking for applicants who are enjoy the sport, enjoy being with
children, have a good sense of humor and applicants who are not afraid of work! Must be of college age or older.

Remunerations:
-Salary is negotiable according to experience.
-We provide separate living accommodations within the dormitory. Laundry facilities are located on the premises. We provide all
meals.
-Riding lessons for staff are available.
-We have a six-day work week.
-Dorm duty at night is on a rotating basis.
-We will board your horse at no charge, assuming normal eating habits*. Special feed such as beet pulp, vitamin supplements,
source, etc, are assumed by the horse owner.

Additional Program Information:
-We schedule Dressage and jumping clinics with outside riders.
-We have three Combined Training events each summer.
-We participate in local horse shows.
-We trailer to other events in neighboring towns.
-We take field trips to horse related activities.

Description  The Vershire Riding School is seeking additional riding instructors for our annual summer riding program. We are recruiting
students who would enjoy teaching, at any level, children and adults. The prospective instructor does not have to have previous
teaching experience. We provide a structured instructor training prior to camp starting. I offer a salary, free room & board for
the instructor and her horse, and opportunities for lessons & clinics. I have worked with Colleges and Universities in supervising
an Independent Study for college credit.
