Position Information

Title  OPERATIONAL/IT SUPPORT ANALYST
Description  1. Install, configure and make operational personal computers and printers and other equipment on computer network.
2. AV equipment testing, troubleshooting, provide support during events

Routine Duties:

1. Provide Computer Services Help Desk support including;

a) First point of contact in all computer hardware, software and
telecommunications problems and requests.

b) Analyze problems (both technical and operational) and arrive
at workable solutions.

2. Provide support and resolve problems related to installed computer software.

3. Identify software application, network and hardware malfunctions and take
appropriate action to resolve issues ensuring data/system integrity.

4. Provide guidance and training to service staff in resolving problems and queries.

Special Duties:

1. In coordination with departmental staff, assist in the support of administrative computer based applications.

2. May perform minor programming and assist in the maintenance of existing software systems.

3. May be responsible for tracking hardware and software inventory

4. Other related duties.
Required 
Skills 
Good working knowledge of computer software, hardware and networks.
Good interpersonal and writing skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Previous experience in supporting computer resources would be an asset.
Experience with Windows 2000/XP and Windows 2000/2003 Server
Good fundamental understanding of TCP/IP connectivity and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of common MS Office products.
