Title  College & Student Engagement Specialist
Description  College & Student Engagement Specialist

As our College & Student Engagement Specialist you will assist in developing, coordinating and implementing accredited programs and our learning initiatives with
educational institutions, student members and prospective student members.

You will serve as primary point of contact for educators, students, vice presidents of academic relations and respond to inquiries and requests and proactively inform
schools of upcoming events and programs and assist with developing, implementing and distributing student communications. You will also be responsible for
developing, implementing and maintaining a tracking system for accreditation visits to ensure appropriate information is communicated to colleges, that visits are
scheduled within calendar schedule and be able to independently visit educational institutions as necessary.

You will also take the lead for our student design competition and initiate the call for submissions and coordinate with student designers, receive submissions, organize
and catalogue entries. Also included is the responsibility of independently organizing the judging event that includes coordinating travel and logistics, setting up the
display of entries the day of competition and overseeing the judges scoring.

And because social media is an important component of our communication strategy you will be responsible for proactively updating NKBA stars Facebook page and
identifying and supporting on line strategies to engage students using social media, blogs, and wiki’s, etc. You will also be required to attend our annual Trade Show &
Conference (KBIS) to plan, implement and facilitate meetings and conference activities.

There will also be other duties to assist with in the broader Learning & Development Department such as assisting with moderating education programs, supporting our
publications group, prepping courses and a variety of other exciting and challenging opportunities for development.

To be considered you will need a College Degree in Communications, Student Personnel Services or equivalent plus a minimum of three years related experience in
project and program planning, implementation and delivery. Prior work experience in an academic environment is desirable. In addition you should possess excellent
skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point as well as a hands on working knowledge of social media; Facebook, Twitter, Yammer, Etc. Some experience with project
management, curriculum development, training and delivering presentations is desirable.

You should be an adaptable proactive self directed individual who can handle multiple projects and work independently as well as part of a cohesive team. You must
have excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail. You must be able to work additional hours when
necessary and travel to our annual conference, colleges and other meetings as required.
