Centenary College Campus Gratitude Blog

After days of rain, the sun was just shinning across my desk. It was so very brief and now it is gone, but I am grateful I saw just a peek of it.

I’m so incredibly grateful for my amazing family and friends.

So I still don’t have power four days after Irene took down a tree and the power lines next to my house. But I do have water so I can take a shower, get dressed and, thankfully, the roads are clear and I can head to places that do have power and phones and are connected to the world. I am thankful for that!

My mind is tending to go to what I have not ( I have no power, no phone, no internet) but when I move on from that to what I do have ( I have places to go where I can be connected to the world) I feel grateful for that!

I love the excitment of starting something new!

I am grateful to feel the hope that comes with the trees and flowers blooming and  the warmer weather. Right at this moment I am grateful it is not raining (again!)

Feeling the warmth of the sun on your face, its such a great feeling!

Feeling grateful to have the time and energy to take on that big project and see it through to the end. I feel a great sense of accomplishment today and that feels great!

A young woman I know is in recovery from surgery this morning. She has donated a portion of her liver to one of her life long friends.

I am grateful for the men and women of the Mayo Clinic who are watching over them.

The warmer it gets the happier I get! C’moooon warm weather!
